How stinkin' adorable is that?!

This is the MaryAnn frame style in the Lily Pad color for a 5x7 photo.

Stay tuned because I will have some more pics to post next week. I was trying to get some super cute shots of the frames actually in my daughter's ~~glorified closet~~ room and when I got them uploaded onto the computer it was clear that I hadn't been in that room to dust in ages, lol!

I just wanted to share a super cool set of actions that were written my a friend of mine, Kelsey Anderson. For those of you that don't know what an action is, its basically a series of steps that have already been done for you so that it cuts your editing time in half. Basically its that thing that adds a little extra "Oomph" to your photos. For all you professionals out there, you can purchase these actions HERE. Photog Playdate!

So last week I had a Photography Playdate with a Photographer friend (and fellow Military wife) and her sweet kiddos. We both wanted to experiment with different lighting set ups and we figured that our own kids might pose for someone different than their own Mommy. We were right, I got some stunning shots of her kids.

The true model of the day. She did a fabulous job and I think Mom is pleased.

Its an incredibly useful tool designed to take the guesswork out of where and how to hang your photos, I've done the work for you. These Collections will be bundled and priced in the new price list. I can even upload your favorite images into the frames so you can get a clearer idea of how it will look in the end.

In honor of my birthday, I thought I would start a new weekly segment to my blog, in hopes to encourage me to post at least weekly as well as just bring a little humor. So one of my all time favorite humorous sites is Awkward Family Photos which, if you haven't ever been to this site, you MUST! Just as the name suggests, its a site full of awkward family photos. Some are just weird family snapshots that need an explanation and then others are professionally taken in a studio somewhere. Well, of course, those are the ones that interest me the most!

Changes Changes!!

I'm very excited to be implementing many changes to my blog, website and business. First off, you may have noticed some changes to the looks of things around here. I finally settled upon a logo that I love and am working towards streamlining all of my watermarks on my images on all of my sites as well as my promotional materials.

I'm also starting a newsletter that will run about once a month that will just let you know what different promotions I will be running or what new products are available etc. So if you would like to sign up, enter your email where it says "Subscribe to Newsletter" over in the right column. You can unsubcribe at any time.

Also, Las Vegas has been very good to me but I'm sorry to say that my time of portfolio building has come to an end. Starting September 1st I will have a new pricing system in place. Don't worry, you still have the entire month of August to take advantage of my Super Low Portfolio Building prices!

Meet Millie. Millie is baby #4 for a wonderful military family that we've had the pleasure of being stationed with twice.

This top picture is my favorite out of the bunch, Big Sister Alice had just jumped into our shoot. It was the very first picture that I snapped and it just really speaks to me. You can really see the interst and love on Alice's face.

Gotta have a "Tootsie" picture. Seriously, I think I have an addiction to Baby Feet!

Millie was a trooper and she amazed me by staying awake pretty much through the whole shoot. Totally gave me some baby fever, with those chubby cheeks and full head of hair!

Don't you just want to curl up beside this sweet baby and take a nap?

Meet Sydney. Sydney is the epitome of what we Southerners would call a "Doll Baby". For all you Yankees out there a Doll Baby is a baby so beautiful, they look like a doll. Pretty straightforward.

Meet Emery, a true Sweet Pea. Emery is just such a happy girl, with some really great facial expressions. I know, I say this every time, but, Emery truely does have some of the most gorgeous blue eyes! The have some deep violet undertones that are just absolutely stunning!

Seriously, I would LOVE to have those eyelashes!!

Meet the Semenza Family: L.J., Stacy, Parker and Tyler. This was really supposed to be Tyler's "newborn" shots but I managed to get some good ones of everyone.

This shot was requested by Stacy. Who doesn't love a bare baby's butt?

I love this one because it reminds me of a shot I have hanging in my house, of my own son when he was about this same age. Makes me a little sentimental. *Sniff Sniff*

Don't you wish that you could just reach through that screen and pinch those cheeks on both those boys? Like some crazy Old Great-Aunt that is also going to give them a piece of hard candy, covered in lint, from the bottom of her purse. Or am I the only one?

I also love Parker's expression in this one. He definitely looks up to something, as most all 3 year old boys are!

Y'all know I can't have a photoshoot without getting some baby feet! I think I have an obsession.....

Meet Pauly, Adalie's cousin. Ok first, how cute is his name? I just imagine saying, "Hey Pauly" in my best New York accent. This little Doll has some of the most gorgeous, clear blue eyes.

Pauly has the cutest little way of scrunching up his nose when he smiles.

The whole idea was to try to get some good shots of the two cousins. Two 1 year olds. You can imagine how well that worked out!

Wednesday I got the opportunity to hang out with one of my friends and photograph her adorable children. We decided that this would be considered "Part 1" since I had the brilliant idea to take them to a park for the shoot. Well, as you can imagine, as soon as they saw all the playground equipment, the shoot was pretty much done!

This is John, the middle child, only boy and future GQ model. Who would have thought a 3 year old boy would have been the most cooperative!

This is Hannah, the oldest. She's quiet and reserved and was much more interested in the swings than actually being photographed.

Ok, another flower post but we found these little plants on our last trip to Home Depot. The little tag said they are called "Orange Star" and is a native plant to South Africa. I just couldn't resist the bright orange flowers, gives a nice little punch of color to my house.

Ok, Ok, I've been a little obsessed with shooting flowers lately. I know, I get that you are probably bored with it but I'm not and its my blog, so HA! There's just something about bright, beautiful flowers blooming that just puts me in a good mood, especially since we live in the middle of a desert. I'm just pleased as punch (yeah, I said pleased as punch) that there is something growing in our backyard out of what I affectionately refer to as "The Gravel Pit".
